THE JOURNEY...

 It has been a rather pleasant journey for Pritha, paving her way through the avenues of "Bhava","Raga" and "Tala"  sublime shadow of the dance maestro Guru Srimati Thankamani Kutty. Specially trained by the Guru's niece & disciple, Srimati Girija Balagopal, Pritha has developed into a spirited performer over the years of her training. Dance, for Pritha, is a medium of ultimate submission to the Lord Almighty. A dancer like Pritha is a lamp that shines in the glory of the Lord while spreading its light and warmth around.

                            Pritha's talent and natural grace has won her many accolades in school and college alike. A student of second year English Honours in St.Xaviers College, Kolkata, she has done her schooling from Calcutta Girls'  High School. Apart from being a dancer, Pritha is a talented elocutionist and has to her credit the prestigious Tagore Foundation Scholarship. Aspiring a career in dance, with God's blessings, her parents' support and of course her Guru's precious guidance, Pritha has completed her "Arangetram" on 15th January 2007 at Gyan Manch Kolkata with raving applauses from critics and connoiseurs.She is a member of the Kalamandalam Performance Wing and has performed all over India including reputed festivals like the Nishagandhi Festival of Kerela.She has also attended workshops conducted by Smt.Yamini Krishnamurthy and is presently pursuing a couse on "Karanas" and "Natya Shastra".
